I was born in America but I was raised on the small island of Penang, Malaysia. As a kid I was so fascinated with the things I saw on screen and always sought out the ‘Making Of’ and ‘Behind The Scenes’ of anything that peaked my interest. I would draw out comic panels and write short stories and I experimented with my camera to film Stop-motion shorts. I realized that a lot of forms of entertainment interested me from 2D Animation to Live Action. I remember trying to figure out how Christopher Reeves flew in Superman or discovering Claymation through Chicken Run and being blown away by the work put into the hairs on Sully from Monsters Inc. I would eventually be exposed to movies I was too young to watch before like The Terminator and The Matrix where my passion only grew.

As the years went on, I found myself always wanting to know more and only as I got older did I realize that not everyone around me had that level of interest in the entertainment they consumed. It was then that I knew I had to pursue a career in this industry. I took 2 years of Basic Arts classes and then moved to The States where I attended a trade school for Visual Effects and Animation, which led me to Compositing. But to be honest, I don’t plan to stop here and I can only hope to venture into other departments of Production in the future.
